Can I use a filter while curing live rock?

Alright so Im curing my live rock, but I dont have a powerhead or an airstone, and I already spent a lot of money. I do have a filter though, and I havent read anywhere that says I can or cant put a filter in the tank. Im curing it in a tank with no substrate and no aquatic life in it, I also have a heater at around 80 degrees. I heard one of the main priorities while curing live rock is water flow, which I can only achieve through my filter. Is it OK to put and turn on the filter?
