Is the Cort Strat copy anything like a Squier?

I'm considering trading my Epiphone Les Paul Special II for a Cort Stratocaster guitar (can't tell the model of the Cort). I'm interested in a strat model because I'm getting more into blues music, SRV and Hendrix, that type of thing. I used to own a Squier by Fender Strat, and I absolutely hated it - it always went out of tune, and it felt large and clumsy, I couldn't play anything on it. The strings seemed too high and the neck too thick for me. What I'd like to know is whether the Cort Strat is better than the Squiers
