What are the legalities behind hacking into someone's Yahoo account?

I am not looking to do any harm to this person or look at his email, it is more of a prank. This person is the commissioner of a Fantasy Baseball League and was a real jerk about it. I am just hoping to log in and change his pword just long enough to keep him from participating in the league playoffs. There is no money involved or anything, just pride i guess.
